Clear the space first.
If a store is delivering a new fridge, washer or dryer and won't take the old one, book us before the delivery date. We'll disconnect the old unit and carry it out, so the space is empty when the delivery crew shows up.
Measure the doorway too. A new fridge that's bigger than the old one sometimes needs a door or a trim piece off, and it's easier to know before delivery day.
Standard appliances usually go out in one piece on a dolly. Bigger or awkward pieces sometimes need a door taken off its hinges or a rail removed from a bed frame. We'll tell you before we do anything like that, and we put everything back the way we found it. Floors get covered where the path is long or the flooring is delicate.
