How it works

Three steps. No calls. No guessing.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS IN 10 SECONDS

What we do
We clear spare rooms, garages, back yards and move-outs from homes, condos and apartments, like three queen mattresses and bar stools from one Granite Bay home, or plywood and carpet from a Sacramento garage.
What it runs
One item from $74, a standard pickup from $149, a full truck up to $749, and whole-house jobs get a free estimate. You pay after the job, fuel's included, no travel surcharges.
Where we work
Homes across the Sacramento region, with recent jobs in Sacramento, Granite Bay and Lincoln. City of Sacramento residents can compare the city's junk pickup.
Same-day pickup
Same-day pickup is often available if you call early, and we'll plan around a move-out or listing date. We're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Where it goes
Furniture, clothes and toys in good shape go to donation, appliances and electronics to recycling, and mattresses to Bye Bye Mattress. The rest goes to the landfill closest to you. That helps keep about 45% of what we haul donated or recycled, on average.

What household jobs look like.

Most of our work is for households. Someone is moving, a room is being turned into a nursery or an office, a parent is downsizing, or the garage has finally reached the point where the car doesn't fit. We come in, carry it out and haul it away.

Spare rooms and bonus rooms fill up with furniture nobody uses, boxes from the last move and things that were supposed to go to a garage sale. This July in Granite Bay we cleared four bar stools, two chairs, a mini fridge, bookshelves, trash bags and three queen mattresses from one home.

Garages are the other big one. In Sacramento this July it was a twin bed, two sheets of plywood, rolled-up carpet and a box of trash, about a quarter of a truck. In Lincoln, a TV, boxes and lightweight carpet.

Back yards collect things too: broken planters, old gates, fence boards, rugs left out in the rain. This June in Sacramento, an old gate, fence boards, a rug, a computer and eight or nine large trash bags went in one load.

Move-outs have a deadline. Renters need the unit empty before the walkthrough; sellers need the house clear before closing. Tell us the date and we'll plan around it.

Apartments and condos have stairs, elevators and parking rules. Let us know about them when you book, and we'll carry everything down and out.

Kids' things change fast. Cribs, high chairs, baby walkers, outgrown bikes and toys are all common pickups. In Stockton this May, trash bags, a Christmas tree, a baby walker, an exercise machine and a carpet cleaner went out together.

You don't have to sort anything. Point out what goes, and we'll set aside donations and recycling as we load.

For older family members, we can work at a slower pace, check with them about each room and make sure keepsakes stay behind.

Holiday seasons leave their own pile: old decorations, fake trees, broken lights and boxes from gifts. January is a popular time to clear them out.

Home gyms that no longer get used, like treadmills, bikes and weight benches, are some of the heaviest household items. We take them apart if we need to get them through a door.

Guest rooms often hold the oldest furniture in the house: a heavy dresser, a sleeper sofa and a mattress from years ago. Sleeper sofas are heavier than they look because of the metal frame inside.

Home offices change too. Old desks, file cabinets, printers and office chairs can all go in one trip, and the electronics are recycled.

Laundry rooms and closets collect broken vacuums, old ironing boards, fans and space heaters. They're small, but they add up.

If you'd rather not be home, many jobs can be done with a list and access to the garage or side yard.

Before we come

Getting the house ready.

None of this is required.

  • Point it out: tell us what goes and what stays.
  • Parking: let us know where a truck can park near the door.
  • Stairs and elevators: mention them when you book.
  • Hazards: keep paint, chemicals and fuel out of the pile.

Photos help us give you a price before we arrive.

Pricing

What home junk removal costs.

Household jobs are priced by the space they take up in the truck. One item starts at $74, a standard pickup starts at $149 and a full truck is $749. Hot tubs and upright pianos start at $249.

Whole-house and estate cleanouts start with a free estimate. The price includes the loading, the hauling and the disposal fees.

If you add items once we're there, we'll confirm the new price before loading them, so there are never any surprises at the end.

City of Sacramento residents also get free curbside junk appointments; see how the city's junk pickup compares before you book.

Moving

Moving out or in.

Before a move, we take what isn't going. After a move, we take the boxes, packing paper and the furniture that didn't fit the new place.

If you're selling, an empty garage and spare room make the house look bigger in listing photos. We can come before the photographer.

If you're renting, clearing everything before the walkthrough helps protect your deposit.

Downsizing

Downsizing a home.

When parents move to a smaller place, the family home often holds decades of belongings. We work room by room and set aside anything that's staying in the family.

Photos, letters and anything that looks like a keepsake are set aside for the family to go through, and nothing personal goes on the truck without a yes from you.

Apartments

Apartments and condos.

We carry items down stairs and through elevators, and follow building rules about parking and move-out hours.

Balcony junk counts too: broken chairs, dead plants and old storage bins.

If your building needs the elevator reserved for moves, book it for the pickup window.

Transparent pricing

The price you see is the price you pay.

No surprise fees. No "we'll quote on arrival" runaround. Confirmed before we lift a thing.
